Santorini, the Land of Lava

Santorini is perhaps the most fascinating and most talked about island of Greece, in the Aegean.

Only the name of the island is enough to unfold in mind pleasurable connotations, volcanic landscape, black, white and red beaches, dazzling white houses, terraces with panoramic views, stunning sunsets, wild fun.

All the above, together with remnants of a massive volcanic explosion that destroyed the island's original civilizations and transformed it from one land mass into several, justify the uniqueness of it. What remains, is Thera (Santorini), Therasia, Aspronisi, Palia and Nea Kameni.

Visit the Excavations of Akrotiri

The ancient city of Akrotiri is the most archaeological discovery in the eastern Mediterranean. The volcanic eruption (1600B.C) covered with lava the ancient city and preserved it in an excellent condition, as it happened in Pompeii. The site will worth a visit!

Admire the Lighthouse of Akrotiri

The striking scenery of the white Lighthouse on the rocks and the stunning sunset will amaze you!

Visit the Red Beach

The scenery is spectacular with red rocks all around.

Take a Sailing Tour

It's something that doesn't represent the massive tourism activities. You have the chance to admire Santorini by sea.

Or a Wine Tour

Santorinian wines are world famous and once visiting the island you should try as many varieties of local wines as you can.

Back Horse Riding

An alternative way to experience Santorini is by horse riding. If you love horses then you will definitely like this activity that will make you feel close to nature.

Hike from Fira to Oia

This is undoubtedly the most beautiful walk tour on Santorini. It is a 9 km hike and it will take you about 4 hours to complete it, but the view will reward you!
